Our ambitious president, Brooke Summerlin, is interning
with Junior Achievement and Hillsborough County Public Schools for the third
time this summer. She mentors high schoolers in a program called STEMTEC where
students learn about emerging careers in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics. Part of the curriculum takes them on field trips to places such as
Busch Gardens where they learn about the physics and engineering that goes into
creating rollercoasters and other rides. Brooke even helped her students design
green cars that run on solar charged batteries--check out these pictures from
race day!
